What are 3D & 3E?

3D, the $11 million Thompson schools mill levy override will support our students by:

  • Investing in up-to-date education resources to allow our children to better compete in the global economy
    • Offering innovative programs and career development, restarting critical curriculum updates, and replacing obsolete textbooks, we can ensure our students' education will better prepare them for lifelong success.
  • Investing in great teachers for every classroom to provide better opportunities for all of our students to succeed
    • Modestly closing the 14% wage gap with nearby districts, we can retain and attract the very best staff to educate our children
  •  Investing in safe transportation to get to-and-from school
    • Replacing 1/3 of district school buses that past due for replacement at 20 years of age or older

3D Proposed residential & nonresidential INVESTMENT:

  • Residential: estimated increase of 6.50 mills at an estimated cost of *$4.31/month per $100,000 county assessor actual property value; median home value for Larimer County is $247,100 (Weld - $191,500, Boulder - $350,900) 
  • Nonresidential: Estimated increase of 6.50 mills at an estimated cost of *$15.71/month per $100,000 county assessor actual property value

  • Investing in modernizing schools to provide innovative learning spaces that engage all of our students and help them more successfully navigate the 21st-century economy 
    • Fixing $72 million in maintenance and delayed repairs
    • Building schools close to high-growth areas
    • Addressing required safety security measures
